Video of the Day

1. Best Overall: Stamina InTone Oval Fitness

  • Size:‌ 49.5 inches x 37 inches x 51 inches
  • Weight capacity:‌ 250 pounds
  • Attachments:‌ adjustable handlebar and resistance tubes

This trampoline has it all, including a comfortable, foam handlebar and handle resistance tubes for a total-body workout. It even has a digital fitness monitor that tracks your progress, including your jumps per minute, total workout time and calories burned, which most others don't have, according to Melissa Garcia, DPT, CSCS, a Washington-based physical therapist..

Unlike circular rebounders, this one's oval shape allows you to jump and lunge farther side to side, hitting often-missed muscles like your side glutes.

This one is a great kid-friendly option, too, because the handlebar can adjust to five different levels to fit various bouncer heights, Garcia says. And the foam handrail helps prevent slips, adding a little extra safety and stability.

The FirstE bouncer is one of the most practical for saving space. Although it's on the larger size at 48 inches, it can fold down and fit under a bed or in a closet when you're done exercising. And considering you can use it indoors or out, it's easy to pack in the trunk of your car for a park workout.

You also get a year-long warranty if you have any trouble with the product or find that it's too big for your home, Garcia says.

While most fitness rebounders and trampolines are circle or oval in shape with four legs, Newan's product is a hexagon with six legs total. And more legs means more stability and security while you jump.

Garcia especially likes that its jump mat is attached to the metal frame with elastic cords, as opposed to springs. Generally, elastic cords are a safer option because they can't pinch and won't cause pain if you land on them, according to Garcia.

5. Best Handleless: KOKSRY Mini

  • Size:‌ 40-inch diameter
  • Weight capacity:‌ 330 pounds
  • Attachments:‌ none, standalone

Don't want a handlebar in the way while you jump? KOKSRY's rebounder trampoline is a standalone that's easy to store, thanks to the handle-free design, which Garcia likes.

Plus, this one also has bungee cords instead of springs, so if your kids hop on, you don't have to worry about too much noise.

6. Best Safety Features: JumpSport PRO Indoor Heavy Duty

  • Size:‌ 39- to 40-inch diameter
  • Weight capacity:‌ 275 pounds to 325 pounds

Garcia loves the safety measures on this piece of equipment. The legs are arched to help prevent tipping and the elastic cords promise a pinch-free workout. Plus the padded edges offer a little extra comfort in case you happen to land outside the jumping area.

You can buy it in three different sizes, depending on your available space.

7. Best for Small Spaces: Stamina Folding

  • Size:‌ 36-inch diameter
  • Weight capacity:‌ 250 pounds
  • Attachments:‌ none, standalone design

If space is your number-one concern, this Stamina trampoline is your ideal pick, Garcia says. At 36 inches in diameter, this one is as mini as it gets. And it even folds for easy storage after your workout.

Another bonus? The springs are completely covered with plastic material for extra safety. And you get three online workout videos included with your purchase.

This medium-sized jumper is another space-saving, beginner-friendly option, according to Garcia. You can adjust the handlebar to appropriate height and jump worry-free, thanks to the spring cover. This one also weighs less than a pound, making transport a breeze.

9. Best for Weight Capacity: Darchen Mini

  • Size:‌ 40-inch diameter
  • Weight capacity:‌ 450 pounds
  • Attachments:‌ none, standalone design

Another bungee cord trampoline, what sets the Darchen apart is its higher weight capacity, Garcia says. This one has a max of 450 pounds and comes with various jumping mats for extra surface area.

10. Best Foldable: BCAN Foldable Mini

  • Size:‌ 40-inch to 48-inch diameter
  • Weight capacity:‌ 330 pounds to 440 pounds
  • Attachments‌: Adjustable handlebar

When folded, the BCAN shrinks down to less than 25 percent of the full size, making storage simple. This option is durable, too, Garcia says, thanks to the stainless steel metal. Plus the springs are covered for extra safety.

4 Factors to Consider Before You Buy an Exercise Trampoline

1. Size

Exercise trampolines can vary anywhere from 36 inches to 48 inches in diameter. So, before you buy, first consider how much available space you have in your home, recommends Winnie Yu, DPT, CSCS, a New York-based physical therapist at Bespoke Treatments..

Then, think about how much jumping space you need. Those who like to do a lot of side-to-side exercises (like side lunges) may want a wider jump mat (40 inches and above). But if running in place is the main way you plan to use your jumper, you probably don't need as much width — between 36 inches and 40 inches is good.

2. Spring Material

Fitness trampolines have either metal coil springs or bungee cords connecting the jump mat to the metal frame. Generally, bungee cords are a safer and quieter option, according to Garcia. Bungee cords are soft pieces of elastic that are stretched to connect the pad and frame.

Metal springs can pinch when you land on them and can be a little squeakier while you exercise. But on the flip side, they often have more spring or bounce than elastic options do.

No matter which material you choose, to keep things quiet, you can also look for a product that has a spring mat covering all of the cords or coils, Garcia recommends. This helps muffle some of the sound.

3. Extra Attachments

Some trampolines come with adjustable handlebars, which are a great option for beginners, Yu says. Holding a handlebar is a good idea as you start out and build balance. Then, as you become more experienced with the jumping motion, you can try your workouts hands-free.

Some devices also come with built-in resistance tubes. These are ideal for anyone looking to add a strength-building component to their bounce training.

4. Weight Capacity

All trampolines have different weight capacities, Yu says. Read the product details before you buy to guarantee you find an option that's appropriate for your body weight.
